Increase Funding for Public Education

The public education system in America is underfunded and this is bound to cause repercussions for future generations and the future of America.  Americans and politicians should reassess their priorities and realize that a well educated population can have a large impact on many other issues.  We need to invest in our future generations because these are the people who we will one day rely on to create an affordable renewable energy source, reverse climate change, and cure diseases.  Education is linked to poverty rates, unemployment and crime.  I believe a large scale solution to many of America’s current problems is to increase the budgets for public education and ensure quality learning for all children.  It is inexcusable for the United States, a powerful and wealthy country, to have a suffering public education system.

  2. Seeing the chart, I think Spain has some hope to get out of their present mess.
    Seeing where Tennessee is, . . . . Lots of local efforts for increase funding for
    public education though.

  3. Our public education sector is quite flawed and we are far from perfecting it. Many politicians have tried their hand at it and unfortunately failed. Lauren I definitely agree that more funding and resources should be allocated to public schools to help better prepare our nation’s youth for the future.
